$595.00
A beautiful antique Ph. Rosenthal Versailles chocolate cup and saucer, dating to 1891–1906, with additional Dresden decorator’s mark.
This exceptionally decorative porcelain piece features a tall, elegant chocolate cup form embellished with delicate multicolored floral bouquets. The deep dark border creates a striking contrast with the white porcelain body, while the extensive gold gilt decoration gives the piece an especially luxurious appearance.
The cup and saucer are richly decorated with finely executed floral details, ornamental gilt scrollwork and generous gold accents. The distinctive flared form of the cup, together with its sculptural lower edge and graceful handle, gives the piece an impressive late 19th-century character.
The underside bears the Ph. Rosenthal “Versailles” green underglaze mark associated with the 1891–1906 period, together with a Dresden decorator’s mark, both shown in the photographs.
A highly decorative antique German porcelain piece suitable for collectors of Rosenthal, Dresden porcelain and fine European tableware.
