Rare French Hand Painted Porcelain Scenic Cabinet Cup and Saucer by Lecoader & Fils Bordeaux

An elegant and highly collectible French hand-painted porcelain cabinet cup and saucer, retailed by Vve Lecoader & Fils, Bordeaux, a distinguished French luxury retailer active during the late 19th and early 20th century.

This charming set features an unusual lobed (scalloped) form, beautifully complemented by a richly gilded branch-form handle and graceful flowing contours. One side of the cup showcases a finely hand-painted romantic landscape depicting a pair of distant towers surrounded by soft floral gardens, while delicate gilt blossoms and flowing pink Art Nouveau-inspired bands continue across both the cup and matching saucer.

Every decorative element has been individually hand painted, with extensive raised and burnished gold accents highlighting the refined craftsmanship.

Unlike standard tea cups produced in large quantities, decorative cabinet cups of this quality were intended for display in fine homes and collectors' cabinets, making surviving examples increasingly difficult to find today.
