Antique Carl Thieme Dresden Porcelain Chamberstick Candle Holder, Hand-Painted, Germany, Early 20th Century

Description

An exceptional antique Carl Thieme Dresden porcelain chamberstick candle holder, handcrafted in Germany during the early 20th century.

This elegant piece features a highly decorative architectural form raised on four elaborate Rococo-style feet, enriched with deep cobalt blue panels, lavish gilt ornamentation, and delicate hand-painted floral bouquets. The striking square drip tray is complemented by an ornate ring handle and a sculptural thumb rest, reflecting the refined artistry for which the Carl Thieme Porcelain Manufactory became internationally renowned.

Entirely hand-painted and finished with extensive raised gilt decoration, the chamberstick displays a sophisticated combination of cobalt blue, white porcelain, and finely executed floral motifs. The graceful proportions and luxurious detailing make it equally suitable as a functional candle holder, cabinet display piece, or an important addition to a Dresden porcelain collection.
