An exceptionally elegant antique lidded porcelain dresser box attributed to Helena Wolfsohn of Dresden, Germany, dating from approximately 1843–1900.
This refined piece showcases the celebrated Dresden tradition of hand-painted porcelain decoration. The exterior is adorned with beautifully executed Rococo-inspired courting scenes framed by elaborate gilt scrollwork, alternating with richly colored black-ground floral panels painted in vibrant shades of blue, purple, yellow, pink, and green.
The domed lid is crowned by an exquisite sculptural porcelain rose finial accompanied by delicately modeled leaves, all enhanced with hand-applied gold accents.
