This exceptional hand-painted mug features a cheerful elderly guitarist rendered in rich earthy tones against a luminous amber and honey-colored background. The highly detailed figural painting reflects the refined artistic tradition of early 20th-century Limoges porcelain, blending warmth, character, and narrative charm into a highly decorative presentation.

The tall cylindrical form is enhanced by its extraordinary sculptural handle designed in the shape of a twisting branch with applied leaves and bird motifs, creating an organic Art Nouveau-inspired appearance. The surface coloration transitions beautifully from glowing golden tones into deep espresso shades near the base, giving the piece remarkable visual depth and atmosphere.

Marked “J.P. Limoges France” to the underside, identifying the piece as authentic Jean Pouyat Limoges porcelain produced during the early 1900s.
